Unit 3 PROPOSAL:

 

In Unit 3 of my artistic exploration, I intend to extend the themes established in Unit 2, transitioning from familial relationships to the broader concept of intimacy. Building upon the foundation of mother-daughter bonds, I aim to delve into the notion of intimacy with strangers, exploring the profound connections formed through the act of embrace.

 

For the exhibition, I propose to showcase a series of multimedia installations that document my journey of engaging with strangers through extended embraces. Using cyanotype prints of the physical impressions left by these embraces, along with video recordings capturing the ambient sounds and spoken reflections during the encounters, I seek to create an immersive experience that invites viewers to contemplate the nature of human connection and intimacy.Viewers will be encouraged to engage with the artwork by watching to the video while examining the imprints left by the embraces, fostering a sense of intimacy and connection within the exhibition space.

 

 

At the same time, I am also thinking about the feasibility of on-site interaction, through random hugs with the audience, so that everyone can understand the theme I want to express in a more immersive way. However, a more reasonable solution is needed regarding the exposure of clothing and the setting of ultraviolet light.

Initial Proposal for the Autumn Research Festival:

I plan to compile a collection of previous works, classify them by theme, re-correct the pictures, and try to create again. Then try to make a handmade book or a bound book.
